For over 25 years, X-Ray Youth Culture Center has given most young people in Oslo and the surrounding area the opportunity to discover, take care of and develop their resources in dance, music, film and multimedia. By taking responsibility for the operation and contents of the house themselves, the young people have learned to take responsibility, find out and express their situation, their opinions and their commitment. X-Ray's value base ensures that young people gain power over their own situation, master new situations and build self-confidence, self-respect and respect for others. Empowerment, inclusion, multiculturalism and human rights are core values in the business. With the help of pedagogical, socio-pedagogical and artistic tools, a wide range of young people discover the feeling of community and developing efforts, which help the individual to handle and manage the process we all go through - from being a child and youth to becoming an adult.
